A Symposium on Decentralized Management was held In the Kurdistan Region on Wednesday 6th February 2019 in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Science at Soran University.
Dr Nahro Zagros, Vice President of Soran University for Scientific Affairs was in attendance along with deans, students, teachers as well as representatives from the relevant authorities of the region. The Symposium was organized in cooperation with the Research Unit of the Law and International Relations Faculty and the Kurdish Institute for Election and Survey. Dr Nahro Zagros, began the symposium with a speech to welcome the guests, then emphasised the importance of the symposium specifically in terms of decentralization as a start for shared processes and as a gateway for performing more seminars and scientific summits inside and outside the university. The result of the survey of the Kurdish Institute showed that 1500 participants in four districts participated and this indicated that the majority of participants believe that decentralized management is necessary to serve the people. The panels then began with the first panel of Professor Dr. Kamaran Salaiy, Majida Ali and Aram Jamal presenting three different subjects and Dr Muhammed Shahab, Mr Soran Ali and Mr Mahdi Ameen Abdullah made up the second panel.
