The Iranian electronic media has paid much attention to it and has described it as innovative and a great success in nanotechnology. The research is entitled 'Green synthesis of Pd/CuO nanoparticles by Theobroma cacao L. seeds extract and their catalytic performance for the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and phosphine-free Heck coupling reaction under aerobic conditions.' The Iranian electronic websites have labelled Soran University as one of the parties of the research.

The Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) has declared this research as the best research about nanotechnology in 2015 and has  caused the Iranian electronic websites to make it their hottest topic of the day.
