The Handren Centre for Language and Cultural Studies at Soran University is holding an International Conference under the title, “The importance of the history and culture of Rwandz, including the establishment of a Kurdish state, in the history of Kurdistan”. The conference is planned to take place on 19th and 20thMay 2016, in Rwandz.

Background:
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) as part of their 2020 vision has made a commitment to enhancing the contribution of women in politics, economics and in the social arena. The Kurdistan Regional Government has also committed itself to combatting violence against women; to implement such commitment and to response, the High Council of Women Affairs in Kurdistan as well as the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Planning in partnership with UNWomen and UNDP propose to set up a center of gender excellence at one of the institutions of higher learning within the KRG in order to promote a better understanding of gender equality throughout the public and private sector and civil society; to provide a training center for public and private officials and to provide policy advice to ministers and government officials. Following discussions with the Ministry of Higher Education and a visit to the institutions concerned, the University of Soran agreed to host the new center of gender studies, the Kurdistan Centre for Gender Studies.
Kurdistan Centre for Gender Studies is recruiting gender trainers to conduct training courses for the public and private sectors in Kurdistan. We are particularly encouraging applications from the Badinan and Garmiyan areas and Sulemaniyah.
Job responsibilities:
1- To conduct training sessions for public and private sectors
2- To design modules for the KRG ministries
3- To draft manuals for the training courses
4- To draft training reports after the completion of the trainings
Qualifications and requirements:
- MA in Gender Studies or related disciplines
- Fluencey of Kurdish and Arabic langauges
- Familairty with English language
- Working experince in the filed of gender
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good organizational skills
- Experience in teaching and training
