On Tuesday, the 21st October at Soran University's new campus in Delizyan, Soran University honoured Professor Dr Hawre Mansurbeg for the last five years of his hard work as the Vice President for Scientific Affairs of Soran University.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Dr Muslih Mustafa, President of Soran University, Mr Krmanj Izzat the Mayor of Soran city, Deans of Faculties, the assistants of the President of Soran University, and a number of lecturers and employees of the University. There were several speeches of appreciation for Dr Hawre’s hard work both scientifically and administratively. These speakers also highlighted Dr Hawre’s role in Soran University's successive successes.
Dr Hawre then delivered a speech thanking the attendees and the Presidency of Soran University. He also expressed his pride for having worked at Soran University. Dr Hawre assured the attendees that he is not leaving the University entirely; he is just relinquishing his position as the Vice President of Soran University for Scientific Affairs. He will now dedicate his time to research and writing.
He was then presented with two awards, one from the Ministry of Higher Education and one from Dr Muslih Mustafa, President of Soran University.
Finally, Dr Nahro Zagros was nominated as the Acting Vice President of Soran University for Scientific Affairs. In a speech, Dr Nahro praised Dr Hawre and wished him the best for his future. He also hoped that, with the help of all Soran University staff, they can continue the successful development of Soran University.
