SU Article about ISIS at The Conversation

The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)'s war, and its recent attacks on Iraq and Kurdistan, has become headlines in the media and the subject of political research and analysis. Each of these sources has expressed their perspective on the subject.

Having a knowledgeable Kurdish scientific reflection to analyse the various dimensions of the subject is a significant and appropriate necessity as, essentially, the Kurds, Kurdistan and the Peshmerga are the most effective forces against ISIL,

Three experts from Soran University have risen to the challenge to meet this need and have combined to write an article entitled ‘Islamic State has united Kurds in a national war of survival’ which has been accepted for publication by the Conversation Journal.

The authors of this article, Dr Muslih Mustafa, President of Soran University, Dr Kamal Oudisho and Dr Tyler Fisher have written a detailed article explaining the ISIL war with Kurdistan, including the Kurdish stance and the independence of Kurdistan. The article has attracted much international attention.
