We are a young department in a young university that has made great strides since our establishment in 2009. Initially formed in partnership with the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics became a department on its own immediately with opening University of Soran. Today we have a staff of over 25 members and we look to the future with great hope and expectation of further continued growth. In the following academic year the department will open a Mathematical Diploma course as well as a Master’s Program in Mathematics, a first for the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Soran University.
