The 5th International Forum of One Young World took place in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, from the 15th – 18th October 2014, with two thousand representatives from around the world in attendance.
The aim of this forum is to bring together young innovators and leaders working in national companies, NGOs and universities so that they can discuss the humanitarian problems of communities across the globe. Twenty seven representatives from Kurdistan attended this event highlighting the problems and issues that Kurdistan is facing.
Amongst these twenty seven representatives from Kurdistan was Gorgis, representing Soran University, who shared with the delegates the latest events in Kurdistan and the condition of the refugees who have fled their cities due to the threats of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). The participants of the forum were warmly appreciative of his speech.
All twenty seven representative of Kurdistan were sponsored by the Rwanga foundation.
One Young World was founded by David Jones, Kate Robertson, and the Havas Foundation in 2009 with the aim of bringing together young innovators and potential leaders from around the world to make a positive change.
