Dr. Muslih Mustafa, President of Soran University, attended the Soran University Council, along with a considerable number of teachers, students and guests for a special ceremony on the 19th December 2018 to honour two people: Mr Zrar Muhammed and Mr Taib Muhtasim There was a period of silence in respect for the martyrs of Kurdistan after which there was a welcome speech for the guests and two short documentary films were shown.
In his speech, Dr. Muslih, spoke of his pleasure, and emphasized that the university should be a reflection of society and take advantage of the experiences of the two personalities, to have a positive effect on society. During his speech, His Excellency Dr Muslih, focused on his choice of these two personalities because of their sense of service, desire, honesty and self-confidence; human beings can pass all obstacles to go forward and be a good example for others as has Mr Zrar and Mr Taib. A gift of respect was presented to Mr Zrar and Mr Taib, who showed their appreciation in a brief speech.
Mr. Zrar Muhammad has served Kurdish Art and Culture for a long time, and has had an important role in teaching the young; many of the great musicians in Kurdistan studied art and music under his supervision. Even through his disability, Mr. Taib Muhtasim continued developing his skills in art and design as well as in business.
