On Sunday, September 26, 2021, Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, the president of Soran University accompanied by Dr. Sirwan Jabar, the vice president of the university for scientific affairs and Dr. Rizgar Saeed, the vice president of the university for student affairs, visited the study halls of the faculties of Soran University and closely, congratulating teachers and students.
In another part of his visit, addressing the head of departments and dean of faculties, Dr. Sherwan emphasized on the necessity to properly implement the sections and subjects related to the Bologna process, particularly those related to putting the students at the center of learning, as this process aims at creating an active and critically thoughtful student.
During the visit, the president of the Soran University visited several study halls and congratulated the students for the new academic year, wishing them a year full of achievements. In another part of his speech to the students, he highlighted the importance of students to work on their abilities and develop them, as our students have no less ability than the students of any other country in the world, all they need is to believe in themselves and use their abilities to their full potential, so that they can enjoy their lives and successes and make us all proud of them and eventually the whole community progresses.
However, it should be noted Sunday, September25, 2021, was the first day of the 2021-2022 new academic year at Soran University.
