Mr Syako Sleiman Shekho, Head of Soran University's Career Development Centre and lecturer in Soran University's Faculty of Arts, has been selected to attend a training course managed by the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) in the United States of America.

IREX is an International American organization supported by the American Embassy in Iraq. The organization's objective is to work to develop the education and higher education sectors in Iraq and make a close connection between Iraqi and American universities.  IREX announced a training course for the successful centres for which Mr Siyako applied; due to his ability and success he is one of those who have been accepted to attend.
Soran University's Career Development Centre was founded after a decree was issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to establish career development centres in all Kurdistan universities. This project was initiated on April 2015 in association with IREX.
