The President of Soran University, AP. Prof. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, met on, Sunday, December 4, 2022, with department heads and the head of the Board of Scientific Departments at Soran University.

The meeting was attended by Prof.Dr.Serwan Zand, President’s assistant for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Rizgar Saeed, President’s assistant for Student Affairs, and the faculties deans.

At the outset of the meeting, in addition to welcoming the attendees, the President thanked the heads of departments for their efforts to develop Soran University. He spoke about the role and position of department heads, describing them as the backbone of higher education and the most influential, and they play an important role in making higher education a success. He noted that department heads should work to renovate and improve their scientific level and that they should attach greater importance to research and investigations. He called on them to submit as many proposals and observations as possible to the University Council.

In another aspect of the meeting, the University President highlighted the work and program of the University, now and in the future. He pointed out that their goal is to develop the university further, and to this end, there are people with knowledge and competence who can be utilized, and the heads of departments can play a more effective role in this regard.

The University President also spoke about the decisions and directives issued by the University's Council to the departments, with the aim of raising the scientific level. During the meeting, it was decided to hold a similar meeting every month.
