On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, Soran University President, Dr. Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, and his accompanying delegation visited Mr. Rajab Zubair Haris to congratulate him on his appointment as Mayor of the Soran Independent Administration Center.

During the visit, in addition to offering congratulations, Soran University President Soran reiterated his full support for the District Officer of the Soran Center. The importance of coordination between Soran University as an academic and scientific institution with all other institutions was highlighted.

The mayor expressed his happiness over the visit, noting that Soran University is a source of pride for the region, and that its weight, position and achievements are clear at the local and international levels, and that they will benefit from the abilities and competence of the teachers, and students of Soran University.
